Instrumental classifiers (ICL)

shows how a person handles manipulates an object.
- Can show the size and shape of the ball and how the ball is tossed and caught.
- use this when there is a mishap with the object

Element classifier (ECL)

represent the movement of elements such as air, smoke, water, liquid, rain and light
- mishap using liquids, show where the liquid came from and landed

ECL: S -> 5 "liquid splash."
ECL: S -> 1 "liquid squirted

Locative classifiers (LCL)

tells the location of an object and movement. Facial expressions show distance and speed.
- can represent barriers, can refer to the shape and location of things that may cause someone to fall.
- need to establish barrier first before describing what happ

Sematic classifiers (SCL

where a person is located, where they moved and how they moved.
- The SCL handshape "V" is used to show a person position; sitting standing lying. and describes falls.

indicates a person is airborne and falling

indicated that there has been impact.

Body classifiers (BCL)

shows how a person moves his/her arms shoulder, head. waving shrugging hands on hip.

Body part classifiers (BPCL)

represent the actions of legs,running jumping
- X represents legs
-B represent feet and toes - tapping the floor/wiggling toes
