life cycle

The stages a living thing goes through from one generation to the next. In plants, seed, seedling, adult.

seed stage

First stage in a plant's life cycle; made up of the embryo, stored food and seat coat.

When the male and female parts of a plant join to produce a seed.

Female part of a seed plant that joins with the male part to produce a seed.
