life cycle

seed stage
First stage in a plant's life cycle; made up of the embryo, stored food and seat coat.

Female part of a seed plant that joins with the male part to produce a seed.

Pollen lands on it (sticky) and produces a pollen tube to reach the ovule.

vegetative reproduction
Reproduction in seed plants that does not involve seeds; type of asexual reproduction.

A cut piece of plant used to produce a new plant.
