chapter 1

Enfield tells Utterson that he sees hyde trampling child, descriptions of Hyde's appearance

chapter 2

Utterson reads will then visits Dr Lanyon, Utterson has bad dream, he sees hyde and goes to the address given and speaks to Poole about Hyde

chapter 3

Jekyll has meal with old friends, Utterson talks to J about will but he tells him to not worry, although he mentions the strange relationship he has with Hyde

chapter 4

Sir Danvers Carew is the victim of Hyde, a letter for Utterson is found on the body, Utterson takes police to Hyde's house

chapter 5

Utterson notices Jekyll looking deadly sick when he visits him, jekyll shows him letter from Hyde which indicates he will never be seen again, Guest compares handwriting and notices it's similar

U visits L and notices he's on his death-bed, U writes to J and J explains he's under a dark influence. L dies and leaves a letter for U, which says do not open until the disappearance or death of J. U tries to visit J but P tells him he's isolating himse

U & E go on walk and see J looking like a prisoner in the window, they then see him begin to change into Hyde

chapter 8

P visits U and tells him to come to the house, they break down door and find body twitching and the will that's dated the day U receives everything, there's also a package with J's confession and Lanyons letter after his death, U reads docs and returns to

chapter 9

Dr Lanyons letter - mentions letter he received from J to get chemicals in drawer and give to (Hyde), explains that L saw J turn into Hyde and that's why he was ill
