Anesthesia drugs

Propofol:

Induction Agent. Bolus will decrease amplitude of cortical responses but used as an infusion will not affect cortical SSEPs to any large degree.

Etomidate:

Induction agent. Will increase cortical response amplitude

Ketamine:

Induction Agent. Will increase cortical response amplitude

Inhalation Agents:

Gases: At .75-1 MAC will decrease amplitude and increase SSEPs. Agents also abolish TcMEP responses greater than 0.5 MAC.

Desflurane

6.6 % =1 MAC

Sevoflurane:

1.7% =1 MAC

Isoflurane

1.1 % =1 MAC

Nitrous oxide ( NO2)

105 % =1 MAC

Succinylcholine

Muscle Relaxants (Anectine): Short Acting 1-3 minutes

Rocuronium

Muscle Relaxants (Zemuron): Medium Acting 20-45 minutes

Pancuronium

Muscle Relaxants (Pavulon): Long Acting over 45 minutes

Nimbex:

Muscle Relaxants Long acting 41-81 minutes

Narcotics

Morphine, Demerol, Dilaudid, Fentanyl, Sufentanil, Remifentanil(Ultiva)

Benzodiazepines

Diazepam(Valium), midazolam(versed)
