Reflection
Basic Rigid Motion in which the figure is the mirror image of the
other. The line that an image is reflected over is called the
reflection line.
Rotation
Basic Rigid Motion in which a plane figure turns around a fixed
center point. This point is called the center of rotation.
Translation
Basic Rigid Motion in which a plane figure moves a certain distance.
Basic Rigid Motion
A transformation of the plane that preserves distance and angles.
Such transformations include translations, reflections and rotations.

Transformation
A general term for four specific ways to manipulate the shape of a
point, a line, or shape. The original shape of the object is called
the pre-image and the final shape and position of the object
is the image.
Pre-Image
The original shape of an object before a transformation is preformed.
Image
The final shape and position of an object after a transformation.
Dialation
Transformation in which an object increases or decreases in size
proportionally by a given scale factor.
Similar
Same shape, different size. Corresponding sides are in proportion and
corresponding angles are congruent.
Congruent
Same shape and same size.
