positive when RLQ abdominal pain is reproduced when the patient lies on his or her left side and the hip is subsequently extended, may indicate appendicitis

Obturator Sign

positive when the obturator muscles spasms when the patient's hip is flexed and internally rotated, may indicate appendicitis

McBurney's Point

area over the right side of abdomen that is 1/3 the distance from the right iliac spine to the umbilicus, pain when palpated may indicate acute appendicitis
