Introduction of the characters, setting and situation. Explains what happened before the story starts.

Story's high point and turning point in the action of the story.

Short work of nonfiction that expresses an author's thoughts and feelings about an experience or idea.
Central Idea
Most important points through details about individuals, event and ideas.
Supporting Details
Facts, statements, examples which guide us to a full understanding of the main idea.
Rising action
events introduce a conflict, or struggle, that increases the tension. Events leading up to the climax.
falling action
Events after the climax, leading to the resolution
Resolution
End of the story where loose ends are tied up
