Antagonist

Climax

conflict
the problem of the story. a struggle between opposing forces.
denouement
the wrap up to the story's ending.
dynamic character
a character who grows and changes, especially internally or emotionally, during the course of a literary work.
exposition
the beginning of the story that includes characters, setting, and conflict, especially the main conflict.
external conflict
the struggles for a character are created by outside forces.
falling action
events that occur after the climax; events leading to the end of the conflict.
hero
the main character of a story who is male.
heroine
the main character of a story who is female.
internal conflict
the struggles within or inside a characters heart or mind.

the feeling or emotion of the story that helps to create atmosphere
narrator

the solution to the story
rising action
events that occur before the climax and shows where the main character faces minot conflicts.
setting
the time, place, duration of a story
static character
a character that does not change during the course of a literary work
theme
the message or underlying meaning of the story
tone
the attitude of the author toward his or her subject matter.
