Pointilism

technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form an image.

Optical Mixing

It is a technique where the painter puts two colors next to each other and let's the brain mix the colors itself. It was used in the Impressionist periods.

Passage Technique

Shapes closed on one side and open on the other so they can merge with adjacent shapes. Also juxtaposes warm and cool colors
