Anatomical position

To stand erect, arms at sides with palms pointed forward.

Anterior

Before or in front.

Dorsal recumbent

Body position in which the patient is on his or her back, face up, legs separated, knees flexed with feet flat.

Dyspnea

Difficult or labored breathing.

Fenestrated

Fowler's

A full or partial sitting examination position.

Horizontal

Not vertical; flat and even; level; parallel to the plane of the horizon.
