Banquo- Banquo fears that Macbeth has murdered Duncan.

'Fail not our feast.'

Macbeth- 'Don't miss our feast'

'To be thus is nothing, But to be safely thus. Our fears in Banquo stick deep.'

Macbeth- Macbeth suspects that Banquo knows who did the deed.

'They hailed him father to a line of kings. Upon my head they placed a fruitless crown.'

Macbeth- Macbeth fears that he has no kids so no heir to the throne.

'For Banquo's issue have I filed my mind, For them the gracious Duncan have I muthered.'

Macbeth- Macbeth soliloquises that Banquo and Fleance should be killed.

'Fleance his son, that keeps him company, [...] must embrace the fate Of that dark hour.'

Macbeth- Macbeth decides that Fleance must be killed.

'Banquo, thy soul's flight, If it find Heaven, must find it out tonight.'

Macbeth- 'If Banquo is going to heaven, then it will be tonight'

'Nought's had, all's spent, Where our desire is got without content.'

Lady Macbeth- 'If you have got everything but you are not happy, then it was all pointless'

Lady Macbeth- 'It is better to be the person murdered than to be the murderer living in anxiety.

Lady Macbeth- 'Why do you keep alone with only sad thoughts to keep you company?'

Lady Macbeth- The murder has happened- it is done.

Lady Macbeth- 'Look happy during the feast tonight'

Macbeth- Macbeth tells Lady Macbeth that his mind is full of 'scorpions'.

Macbeth- Macbeth talks about the killing of Banquo.

Murderer- Banquo is dead.

'Fleance is scaped.'

Murderer- 'Fleance escaped'

'[to Ghost] 'never shake Thy gory locks at me''

Macbeth- Macbeth tells Banquo's ghost to not shake his head at him.

' If much you note him, You shall offend him and extend his passion. Feed, and regard him not.
[aside to Macbeth] Are you a man?

Lady Macbeth- Lady Macbeth tells the guests to ignore Macbeth's illness. She questions his manhood.

'O proper stuff! This is the very painting of your fear. [..] When all's done, you look but on a stool.'

Lady Macbeth- Lady Macbeth complains that Macbeth is having hallucinations.

'It will have blood, they say: blood will have blood.'

Macbeth- 'The deed will have revenge'

'I am in blood Stepped so far that, should I wade no more, Returning were as tedious as go o'er.'

Macbeth- Macbeth feels as though he has taken his killing to far already. Now that he has started killing, he cannot stop.
