Psychoactive drugs

What is a club drug?

a drug commonly found at concerts, dance clubs, and raves.

drugs that alter moods, thoughts, and sense perceptions, including vision, hearing, smell, and touch

euphoria

a feeling of intense well-being or elation

depressants

drugs that tend to slow the central nervous system

What are some everyday legal stimulants?

coffee, tea, cola, and power drinks

Do hallucinogens have any medical use?

no

opiates

drugs such as those derived from the opium plant that are obtainable only by prescription and used to relieve pain

Why do pharmacists keep record of all opiate sales?

Because they are highly addictive, and when misused, are very dangerous.
