Inclined to reserve all judgements. One of the few honest people he knows. Alone on Gatsby's side at the end. Moves East to learn the bond business. Daisy's cousin, once removed. Went to Yale with Tom. Neighbor to Gatsby. West Egg.

Tom Buchanan

Dominance, Control ("Rise of a Colored Empire"). Wealthy, arrogant, agressive, cruel. Preys on the poor with his money. Similarities to George Wilson. Reveals the real Gatsby to everyone. Affair with Myrtle, but married to Daisy.

Daisy Buchanan

Sad & lovely. Bright eyes & passion. Cynical. Doesn't marry Gatsby because he didn't have any money. Voice is full of Money, according to Gatsby. Golden girl.

Jay Gatsby

Has real books. Bootlegger. First time we see him he's reaching towards Daisy's green light and trembling. Medal for valor in WWI from Montenegro. Rarely smiles - eternal assurance. "Son of God".

George Wilson

Says that the eyes of T.J Eckelburg are the eyes of God that no one fools; believes he's God's messenger. Similarities to Tom. He was his wife's man - not his own. Believes that Myrtle was murdered.

Dan Cody

Employs young Gatsby on his yacht.

Mr. McKee

Photographer. At apartment party.

Myrtle Wilson

Tom's misstress. Reads "Town Tattle". Married George because she thought that he was wealthy.

Owl Eyes

Wise. Discovers Gatsby's books are real. One of the only people at Gatsby's funeral. Eye motif.

Henry Gatz

Gatsby's Father. Comes from Minnesota for his son's funeral.

Meyer Wolfsheim

Fixed 1919 World Series. Has cufflinks made of human molars. Gatsby's partner in bootlegging.

Jordan Baker

Likes large party because they are intimate; dislikes small parties because there's no privacy - hiding from herself. Liar, cheater, dishonest - like all of the others. Already engaged when Nick breaks it off with her.

Pammy

Daisy and Tom's daughter, which gives credence to their love. Gatsby never really believed in her existence.
