ACLS

MONA - morphine dose

2 to 4 mg every 5-15 minutes, IV push

MONA - oxygen

aim to keep pO2 at 94% or higher
(max 2L/min for COPD)

MONA - nitroglycerin dose

0.4 mg every 3-5 minutes for 3 doses

MONA - aspirin dose

160-325 mg
(NOT enteric coated, chewable)

Ventricular fibrillation/ v-fib

(patient will NOT have a pulse)

Interventions for v-fib

� Defibrillate
� Epinephrine 1 mg every 3-5 minutes
� Amiodarone 300 mg, then 150 mg

Ventricular Tachycardia/ v-tach

Interventions for patient in v-tach if they have a pulse

� Amiodarone drip 300 mg over 10 minutes
� Cardiovert

Interventions for a patient in v-tach who is pulseless

� Defibrillate

Supraventricular tachycardia/ SVT

Interventions for SVT

� Vagal manuever
� Adenosine 6 mg, then 12 mg
� Cardiovert

Interventions for 2nd degree heart block, type 2

� Paced

Interventions for stable sinus bradycardia

Dopamine (dose is weight based)

Epinephrine

Interventions for unstable sinus bradycardia

� Atropine 0.5 mg (max 3 mg)
� Pacing

Pulseless electrical activity
