Peril

An event or happening, whether natural or man-made, that causes a financial loss

Property Insurance

Insurance that protects you against the loss of your property or possessions

Personal Liability Insurance

Actual Cash Value

The replacement cost of a property minus its physical depreciation.

Replacement Cost Coverage

Additional homeowner's coverage that provides for the actual replacement cost of a stolen or destroyed item as opposed to the actual cash value

Personal Umbrella Policy

A homeowner's policy that provides excess liability insurance with protection against lawsuits and judgments generally ranging from $1 million to $10 million

Insurance Credit Score

a credit score, based on the same information as your traditional credit score, which is used in determining what your home and auto insurance rates will be.

Deductible

an amount to be paid before insurance will pay

Uninsured Motorist's Protection Coverage

coverage against injuries caused by a hit-and-run driver or by an uninsured motorist or a negligent driver whose insurance company is insolvent.

Collision Loss

The portion of auto insurance coverage that provides benefits to cover damages resulting from an accident with another vehicle or object

Comprehensive Physical Damage Coverage

Covers damage to your vehicle in a non-accident situation such as fire, theft, falling objets, vandalism, hail, floods, tornadoes, earthquakes.
