Respiratory irritation, coughing, presence of white dust in oxygen mask. Prolonged inhalation of zeolite dust should be avoided

When experiencing physiological symptoms, do you have to pull the green ring cockpit alt >10k' MSL?

Required since ambient cockpit air contains insufficient oxygen pressure to support physiological requirements

When experiencing physiological symptoms, do you have to pull the green ring cockpit alt at/below 10k' MSL?

Option as ambient cockpit air contains sufficient oxygen pressure to support phy

Actuating emergency oxygen system, may make what more difficult and why?

Verbal communication with crew/ATC more difficult because of high pressure air

Can you turn off emergency oxygen?

No, it will provide oxygen until depleted and not regulated. Pressure may gradually decrease to point it feels like oxygen depleted before reaching 10 min of use

PCL OFF

During a PEL, when can you turn the PCL OFF?

On profile, if the engine is vibrating excessively or if indications of failure are imminent

Engine failure or shutdown will completely disable what system and impair what?

Completely disable the bleed air system. Depending on environmental conditions, this may cause significant canopy icing and/or fogging, severely hampering visibility

At higher temperatures and pressure altitudes

What 2 conditions on ELP final may lead to a hard landing resulting in landing gear component failure?

Airspeeds below 110 KIAS on ELP final and high flare

Can you lock the canopy in flight?

No, and do not attempt to

Why should you not attempt to lock the canopy in flight?

Movement of the internal canopy lock handle may inadvertently allow the canopy to open and depart the aircraft.

In what position can the canopy hinder ejection?

If canopy frame is floating off the left side rail or the canopy is obviously unlocked, do not eject

EHYDR PX LO or HYDR FL LO light can indicate?

A fluid leak in either hydraulic system

What is the danger of a fluid leak on the emergency side? (Indicated by EHYDR PX LO or HYDR FL LO light)

A small enough flow rate that does not indicate the hydraulic fuse can allow all fluid to leak out of both systems.
A gear up landing would be required. Unless fuel range is a factor, lower the gear (and flaps if desired prior to depletion of hydraulic fl

If you suspect a hydraulic fuel leak on the emergency side, and fuel is not a factor, what actions should you accomplish?

If hydraulic fluids leak out of both systems, a gear up landing would be required. Unless fuel range is a factor, lower the gear (and flaps if desired prior to depletion of hydraulic fluid.

What does it mean if you lose hydraulic pressure (out of limits, decreasing towards/reads 0 psi) but you don't have EHYDR PX LO or HYDR FL LO light?

May indicate engine driven hydraulic pump failure or partial failure

What should you check if hydraulic pressure indicates 0 psi and there's a HYDRO FL LO light?

Check HYD SYS circuit breaker on the battery bus circuit breaker. You may reset it.
