Air Fronts/ Air Pressure

Density

The amount of atoms (particles) in a certain amount of space.

Hot Air Masses

Air that has less density so it rises up.

Cold Air Masses

Air that has more density so it sinks down.

Cold Front

When cold air moves toward warm air and pushes it up.

Warm Front

When warm air moves over cold air.

Occluded Front

When warm air is in between 2 areas of cold air.

Stationary Front

When warm air and cold air are pushing on each other. The wind is pushing hard so the warm air does not move up.
