Data Table

Respondents

participants

experimental units

the individuals on which the experiment is done

records

a collection of fields that appear as a row in a database or table

purchase records

Records that help maintain an overstocking or shortage of supplies and are used to establish the net worth of a business

observations

Information gathered by noticing facts and occurrences when asking 5W and H.

Categorical Variable

a variable that names categories (whether with words or numerals)

Quantitative Variable

a variable in which the numbers act as numerical values; always has units

Units

a quantity or amount adopted as a standard of measurement, such as dollars, hours, or grams
