Bias

When someone favors one group of people over another.

Confirm

To show that something is definitely true, especially by getting more proof.

Contradict

To disagree with something, especially by saying that the opposite is true.

Doubtful

Not certain or is not likely to happen.

Evidence

A fact, object, or sign that makes you believe that something is true.

Factual

Something that is known to be true, based on facts.

Fantasy

An idea or belief that is not based on real facts.

Illogical

Not sensible or reasonable.

Investigate

To try to find out the truth about it, such as the details of a crime.

Objective

Based on facts rather than on personal feelings.

Observation

A spoken or written comment about something that you have noticed.

Opinion

A person's belief about something.

Persuade

To make someone decide to do something, especially by giving him or her reasons why he or she should do it.

Prove

To show that something is true, especially by providing facts and information.

Theory

An idea that is supported by evidence, but not fully proven.
