innuendo

the use of words to suggest emotionally charged connotations

stereotyping

oversimplification of an issue that often reduces a complex situation in to a clear-cut choice involving positive (good) outcomes and negative (evil) outcomes

connotation

the non-literal, associative meaning of a word; the implied, suggested meaning. Connotations may involve ideas, emotions, or attitudes

denotation

the strict, literal, dictionary definition of a word, devoid of any emotion or attitude (ex: the denotation of a knife would be a utensil used to cut; the connotation of a knife might be fear, violence, anger, etc

homily

the term literally means "sermon", but more formally, it can include any serious talk, speech, or lecture involving moral or spiritual advice

pedantic

an adjective that describes words, phrases, or general tone that is overly scholarly, academic, or bookish (language that might be described as "show offy"; using big words for the sake of using big words

narrative

the telling of a story or an account of an event or series of events.

effect

the emotional or psychological impact a text has on a reader or listener

tautology

a group of words that merely repeats the meaning already conveyed( ex: if you dont get any better, then youll never improve)
