For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord; make his paths straight.'

As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord, lake his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall become straight, and the rough places shall become level ways, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.'
He said, "I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, 'Make straight the way of the Lord,' as the prophet Isaiah said.
1 Peter 1:24-25
for "All flesh is like grass and its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord will remain forever." And this word is the good news that was preached to you.
For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?
Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved with whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles. But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, "Why have you made me like this?
