Isoproterenol (Isuprel) Indications
Last resort in management of symptomatic bradycardia (Atropine and pacing should precede this therapy)
Isoproterenol (Isuprel) Contraindications
1. AMI's2. Cardiogenic Shock3. Do not use with epinephrine

1. ventricular irritability2. deactivated by alkaline solutions
Isoproterenol (Isuprel) Side Effects
1. tachyarrhythmias, PVC's and angina2. Tremor, palpitations, headaches3. anxiety, sweating, hypotension4. Can increase size of infart due to incrased myocardium oxygen demand
Isoproterenol (Isuprel) Dosage
1mg in 500 ml D5W (concentration of 2mcg / ml) infused at 2 - 10 mcg / min and titrated to effect or until PVC's occur
