What do you do when you need to get to the city with no ride? Or what

have no car? Not everyone lives close to a bus or even a train stop,
and there are some parts of cities where taxis don�t go. This is where
Uber comes in. Uber is an on-demand, taxi-like service that connects
customers with car services by sending drivers to users when they ping
their location on a mobile app. Whether choosing Uber X, UberXL, or
UberBlack, any choice is a safe and affordable way to move in, out,
and within cities.

Since its launch in 2009, it has become a global phenomenon. Uber is
being used in more than 170 cities around the globe, and currently is
creating an average of about 20,000 jobs a month. As you can see from
this graph, after about 30 months since Uber was created, its growth
has become exponential. Also, thanks to Uber there has been a decrease
in drunk driving accidents. They have decreased DUI incidents and
Alcohol related crash fatalities by about 6.5% per month.

Uber�s mission statement is to provide transportation that is just
like water: reliable and everywhere. Uber wants transportation
available no matter where you are and give you a ride to wherever you
need to go, with about 52% of trips in Chicago beginning or ending in
areas where taxis don�t really go.
