Trigeminal Nerve

The main trunk nerve which serves the upper and lower oral cavity.

Superior

In anatomy it denotes the "upper" area

Inferior

In anatomy it denotes the "lower" of 2 parts

Intraosseous

Into the bone" An injection into a bone

Local Anesthetic

A numbing material injected into the gingival tissue of the oral cavity, in preparation for a dental procedure. Numbs a specific area

Infiltration

Near apex of tooth placed in area of treatment; most commonly used on the maxillary anteriors.

Epinephrine

The most common vasoconstrictor used in dentistry; it has the function of preparing the body for "fright, flight, or fight". It is added to some anesthetic solutions to prolong the anesthesia

A sealed glass vial containing a sterile solution for the purpose of injecting / cartridge
