NEVER LEAVE THE CLASS UNATTENDED. Grab another teacher and have them watch the class while you go tell the office and then proceed with the instructions you are given.

In what circumstances would you discipline a student?

If the classroom teacher tells me to. If it was something that was harmful or threatening to another student. Anything done with the intention to cause harm or injury needs to be handled immediately.
